Morah Miriam

Director

Morah Miriam has been teaching preschool for the past 16 years. She loves to watch the children’s curiosity as they question the environment and problem solve with their peers. When Morah Miriam is at home she likes to exercise, cook and spend time with her family.

Morah Irene

Founding Director

Morah Irene, who has a master’s degree in early childhood and achieved National Board Certification for ages 3 to 7, has been with Gan Ephraim since its beginning. She strongly believes that children will love to learn when they learn through play. Morah Irene’s free time is spent with her family, with her dogs, in the garden and figuring out new ways to include chocolate in her recipes.

Morah Ilana has been involved with Gan Ephraim since its inception. She loves watching children explore their environment and play with toys in creative ways. When not teaching, Morah Ilana can be found walking in a metro park, spending time with family and friends or curled up with a good book.

Ofra has been at Gan for over 10 years. She loves the look of wonder on each child’s face every time they embark on a new adventure. Alongside teaching the Kesef class, her weekly drama specialty gives the children a chance to explore their imagination and creative talents. Outside of Gan, Ofra loves to explore new ventures and spend time with family.

Morah Gretel has been at Gan since 2022. She says that she loves working with preschoolers as it keeps her active and young at heart. Her favorite part is the looks of wonder on the kids’ faces as they are exploring and learning about the wide world around them. Outside of Gan, Morah Gretel loves walking, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Morah Tamar has been teaching at gan since 2022. Her favorite part about working at Gan is the connections she makes with the kids. Her goal is to make preschool a fun place to learn and grow as well as a warm environment for the children. When not at Gan, you can find Morah Tamar at home spending time with her husband and family.

Morah Carla has been teaching for over 25 years. She says that teaching preschool keeps her young and active. When not engaging with the Gan preschoolers, she’s playing with her 4 grandchild. Morah Carla can also be found kayaking and paddleboarding with her husband and youngest of 3 sons.

Morah Shifra loves working at Gan and helping each child thrive as they navigate learning about the big, wide world. Her goal as a Morah is to guide the children and keep their eyes twinkling, absorbing and learning through both the fun and tricky moments. When not at Gan, Morah Shifra can be found still playing with play-doh and magnatiles in her own home with her family.

Morah Maria

Art Teacher

This will be Morah Maria’s 5th year at Gan Ephraim, having started to “help out” during the pandemic, and discovering a love of teaching preschool. Her role is expanding this year to a focused arts and sciences curriculum for the entire school. Partnering with parents is a vital element of this new approach. Be watching for letters home with more information and fun ideas for getting creative with art and nature!

Morah Taylor

Zahav Assistant Teacher, Social Emotional Teacher

This is Morah Taylor’s second full year at Gan and she is so excited to spend the year with the Gan family! She is still getting her undergraduate at Ohio State, studying Early Childhood Education, and her goal is to graduate in 2025! When she’s not working at Gan, you can find Taylor reading a good book at home with her cat, or learning new recipes in the kitchen!

This is Morah Sara Libby’s fourth year at Gan Ephraim. Her favorite activities at preschool are reading books to the children or conducting sing-a-longs. When not at school, Morah Sara Libby enjoys exercising, cooking, and gardening.

Dr. Felice Kassoy is a Licensed School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the field of education since 1978. She has spent the last 43 years in both public and independent schools.
